Shamokin Division Improves

September 29, 1896*

The new enginehouse sits in the distance (center) beyond the switch tower, yard shack and sand pit.

Looking past the water tower and to the east is the switch tower, yard shack, and the loading platforms beyond.

On Monday, James Trevorsky of the Pacific Bill & Jamie Railroad (PB&JRR) announced that additional facilities at the Shamokin Division were nearing completion. Several new sidings are now in place along with a new pedestrian bridge and an enginehouse with under-carriage access.

The under-carriage access is clearly visible inside the enginehouse, just past the water tower on the left.
