7.5": The Play Yard is Defined
10/28/06

Lynn is flattening and raking the play area. We're putting in a "mulch" made of recycled rubber tires. We're using NuPlay from International Mulch Company. It's got a good "fall height" cushion, is ADA compliant, and should last a long time.

The ties for outlining the space are in the foreground, and the mulch is "as shipped" in the background.

Tracy is preparing to put down the weed-preventing undercloth.

Lynn cuts off the first strip of cloth as Tracy plans the next strip.

Starbucks. I'm shocked!

Serafina is a little perplexed. The ties are being positioned.

We're putting in railroad gravel underneath the trampoline. That area does not need the more expensive mulch.

Tracy has emptied the first bag of mulch into the play structure area.

Matt preps the reciprocating saw we just bought for trimming the lumber.

Tracy and Lynn used the car to move the mulch closer to the play yard.

The outlining lumber is held in place with rebar.

And the first mulch is placed in the corner closest to the railroad.

Serafina checks it out.
