7.5: Track, Phlatt, and Fun
05/27/06

Finishing up the trucks for the Phlatt car.

It helped to hold one side down with a lockwasher-free nut, put the other side on with the lockwasher, and go back and do the first one with lockwasher.

A little grease in the journal box.

Et voila, two trucks! (Upside down in this picture.)

Bill puts another coat of paint on the chairs for the Phlatt car.

Robob joins in hauling gravel. He also did a fair amount of screwing in ties north of the middle gate.

Lynn and Sam worked ballasting, too.

Jon figured out a way to ride the kiddie handcar.

Tracy's consist includes a sleeping car.

And Lynn got in on the act, too.

As did Serafina!

Bill finishes up spackling the nail holes on the deck and gets a first polyurethane coat applied.

Another 30 feet of track or so, and ballasting is done through the fence and into the front yard. Big day!
