No. 3 Rides Again!

We got the pipe to the whistle successfully replaced (it broke on July 17), fired her up, did a couple laps around Bitter Creek, and then had a few engineering "lessons" over by the carbarn. Here's Trevor at the controls!
Bill got a shot at it, too!
We discovered its next project... air brake system refurbishment. When we were putting No. 3 away, we noticed several loose nuts and disconnected tie rods under the boxcar and tender. As Trevor noted, "I think I see a theme here..."
