This was the first warm day without rain in quite a while, and it squeezed itself in just before what promises to be several more days of rain. The activities centered around raking leaves and needles from the track and right-of-ways and removing eroded dirt from the ex-tunnel location. Karl got these pictures of Bruno Platzer's F-7 at Maricopa Live Steamers last weekend. He started with an MDM Locomotive Works kit and added incredible detail. There's even a water cooler in the cab, with real water in it! If the trucks pictured above were a littler dirtier, you'd never know they weren't full scale. At left, No. 3806 sat out at the steaming bays. |
