 Dini, Dr.Marcus, Kevin, and Karl prep the Pacific Coast Railway train.  Kevin engineers the Pacific Coast Railway No. E-3 past SMVRR No. 70.  Hal, Jack, and Karl check out the SMVRR speeder.  This picture of Dr. Marcus operating the Bitter Creek train is framed by the undercarriage of No. 70.  Too bad Kevin has no fun railroading!  Over 120 passengers took advantage of the $1 rides.  This youngster enjoys one of the day's handouts next to Kevin's 1.5" scale model of SMVRR Caboose No. 210. |
Karl and some of the guys from Bitter Creek supported an Open House event at the Santa Maria Valley Railroad during the City's Grapes and Grains festival this Saturday. BCWRR's portable track and train were put to use as a fundraiser for the Friends of the Santa Maria Valley Railroad. The full story is available on the Friends web site.  Children of all ages enjoyed riding the BCWRR train!     Karl looks very comfortable in the cab of SMVRR No. 1801.  All loaded up at the end of the day...  While Kevin continues breaking down the portable track with the SMVRR's No. 70 and two speeders in the background. |
