Jack's Helping Hand
at the Pacific Coast Railroad

Bill ran opposite the train doing fire spotting duty on his speeder.

The two Davenport switchers shoved the other two locomotives back into the spur when it was time to get the show on the road.

Dennis is the eyes on the train as it backs down past Horse Head Junction (to let the Davenport train into the spur). That's Brad at the post doing switchman duty.

Hence the name Horse Head Junction.

Phil (leaning out of the cab) watches as Bill conducts the Davenport train back into the spur.

Karl leans out from the cab while out on the mainline.

A number of Bitter Creek Western folks supported this fundraiser at the Pacific Coast Railroad at the Santa Margarita Ranch for Jack's Helping Hand. Nearly $100,000 was raised at this event!

This was the work train of the day. Three of the Disneyland coaches were pulled by the Vulcan, No. 2, the Roger Linn.

Passengers boarded and detrained at Estrada Station (nearest the mansion).

Jim engineered for the day.

The festivities included not only the train rides, but dinner, dancing, and live and silent auctions.

Ted pulls the water line up to fill the tender.
